Bearcat baseball offers three camps in January 2022

Hughes FieldhouseHead coach Darin Loe and the Northwest Missouri State University baseball program will offer three camps in January 2022 in the Hughes Fieldhouse.

2022 Bearcat Youth Baseball Camp
The goal of our youth camp is for our campers to come in and learn the building blocks of the game of baseball. We will work and teach to each player's current ability level and most of all HAVE FUN! All areas of fundamental baseball will be addressed including pitching, hitting, throwing, catching, and base running. Skills competition in the afternoon session.

Ages: 9-13
Date: Sun., January 9
Time: 10 a.m. - Noon, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m. (Lunch on own)

2022 Bearcat Pitching & Catching Camp
Pitchers will emphasize fundamentals in relation to mechanics, mental preparation, drill work, holding baserunners, pick offs, etc. Pitchers will receive a written evaluation of bullpen observation with items to work on. Pitchers will be given a radar velocity reading of fastball. Catchers will concentrate on fundamentals of catching mechanics, mental preparation, pitch calling, receiving, blocking, throwing etc.

Ages: 14 - seniors in high school

2022 Bearcat Hitting & Defense Camp
Hitters will emphasize fundamentals of hitting including mental preparation, drill work, timing, swing mechanics, bunting, drag bunting, etc. Defensive position work with basic position drills will be presented. Hitters will be given a written grading report by the Northwest coaching staff.

Ages: 14 - seniors in high school
