The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat baseball team had 22 of its student-athletes honored by the MIAA for their effort in the classroom and on the field.
The MIAA announced its Academic Awards for the 2020 baseball season. More than 175 baseball student-athletes from league schools were recognized for their classroom achievements.
The prestigious Academic Excellence Award was earned by Bearcat senior
Tim Olson. Olson was among five baseball student-athletes to received the MIAA's Academic Excellence Award. An MIAA Academic Excellence Award recipient must have a grade point average used by the institution for purposes of NCAA academic certification of at least 4.00 at the certifying member institution. The honoree also must have at least two terms of attendance at the certifying member institution, excluding summer terms.
