Northwest (5-2 overall) is coming into the weekend riding a season-best four-game win streak. The Bearcats are led by a powerful team effort in the batter's box, hitting .322 as a team with 78 hits and eight home runs on the year.

In addition, Northwest, through seven games, is currently outscoring its opponents 62-33 and limiting them to a .246 batting percentage.

Notable individual standouts include sophomore outfielder Jordan Peck and senior first baseman Connor Quick. In 21 at bats, Peck has notched .524 batting average, tallying 11 hits, nine runs and five doubles. Quick, not far behind, has earned a .407 average with 11 hits, six RBI and seven walks on the season.

Spencer Hanson is off to a strong start on the mound for the Bearcats, starting the season 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA. He has accumulated a team-leading 14 strikeouts during 13 innings of work in his two starts.

Coming into the matchup with Maryville Feb.14, senior infielder Calvin Rudolph and junior outfielder Matt Gastner look to extend their team-high, six-game hit streaks to seven games. Quick and junior infielder Peter Carlson will strive to continue their seven-game on-base streaks.

It will be the first ever meeting between Northwest and Maryville Univ. on the baseball diamond. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
