JOPLIN, Missouri - Freshman
Teagan Blackburn's hat trick carried the Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team to a 3-1 road win at Missouri Southern on Friday.
Missouri Southern's Ashton Manwill scored the first goal of the match late in the first half from a header off a corner kick to put the Lions up 1-0.
Blackburn scored the first of three goals right before the end of the first half to tie the match, 1-1.
Three minutes in to the second half, Blackburn found the back of the net again to put the Bearcats up 2-1 over the Lions.
Izzy Romano assisted on the goal.
Blackburn secured the win with another goal in the 71st minute to make the final score 3-1 over the Lions.
The Bearcats move to 2-4-1 overall on the season and will face Central Missouri Sunday at 1 p.m. in Warrensburg, Missouri.
