The 2019 D2CCA NCAA Division II Baseball All-Central Region First and Second Teams have been announced as voted upon by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) from the region. The Central Region consists of 39 baseball teams from the Northern Sun (15 teams), Mid-America (12 teams) and Great American (12 teams) conferences. In all, 19 teams were represented with eight teams gaining multiple selections.
Quick (Fenton, Missouri/Rockwood Summit HS/North Central CC) led the Bearcats with a team-best .371 batting average to go along with a .577 slugging percentage and a .447 on-base percentage. Quick had an OPS of 1.054. Quick cranked out 72 hits, tying him for the fifth-most in a single season by a Bearcat in program history. Quick also tallied 14 doubles, four triples and six home runs in 2019. He ranked fourth in the MIAA in RBI (49). Quick had a 32-game on-base streak and an 18-game hitting streak during the 2019 campaign.
Of the 33 student-athletes to earn All-Central Region honors, 15 are seniors (down seven from 2018) with 11 juniors. The youth has a stronger representation in 2019 with five sophomores and two freshmen while last year's team featured just one sophomore.
Breaking down the conferences, the NSIC led the way with 12 total selections which were shared between six of its 15 league members and had seven first team performers. The MIAA came in with 11 total all-region choices (four first team) with seven of its 12 member schools represented while the GAC had six of its 12 schools earn a spot with five first team picks among its 10 players voted all-region.
