Connor Quick has a team-high 16-game on-base streak. Quick (.380) has made his way into the MIAA's top-10 best individual batting averages at No. 5. Quick also has a notable place among the MIAA leaders in on-base percentage (.462) and hits (46).
Other distinguished streaks amid Northwest starters include junior infielder
Calvin Rudolph's 12-game hitting streak, marking his best of the 2019 season. Quick, not far behind, controls a nine-game hitting band.
On the bump, junior pitcher
Quintin Van Ackeren leads Northwest pitching with 54 innings pitched, allowing 36 runs (28 earned) on 65 hits and has a team-high 47 strikeouts. The lefty "ace" for the Bearcats has the third best ERA among Northwest pitchers (4.67).
Pittsburg State (17-16, 11-10 MIAA) enters the matchup with Northwest coming off a series sweep of Northeastern, April 5-7.
