The Bearcats (17-20, 13-11 MIAA) look to get back to winning ways after dropping their last five games to conference opponents. Previously, Northwest was on a team-high six-game winning streak before the losing skid commenced.
Junior first baseman
Connor Quick will look to extend his team-leading 21-game on base streak and 14-game hitting streak. Quick currently holds the fourth-best batting average in the MIAA (.394) and second best on-base percentage (.470) in the league.
On the bump, junior pitcher
Quintin Van Ackeren leads Northwest pitching with 57 innings pitched, allowing 42 runs (32 earned) on 71 hits and has a team-high 49 strikeouts. The lefty "ace" for the Bearcats has the second best ERA among Northwest pitchers (4.67).
Senior pitcher
Trevor Dudar is currently T-No. 14 in the nation for most saves on the year (7).
Central Missouri (26-11, 17-7 MIAA) enters the matchup with Northwest coming off a series sweep of Lindenwood, April 12-14. The Mules sit atop the MIAA conference standings.
