The Bearcats prepare to halt the three-game skid they took at the hands of Arkansas-Fort Smith to begin the season as they travel to Durant, Oklahoma to take on Southeastern Oklahoma State on Tuesday.

This will be the first matchup between the two colleges on the baseball diamond in both programs' histories.
Northwest (0-3) will have to count on the strong bats of senior catcher 
Jay Hrdlicka and senior outfielder 
Derek Hussey who lead the team in batting percentage thus far, at .462 and .357.
The trio of transfers in first baseman 
Connor Quick, third baseman 
Calvin Rudolph and shortstop 
Peter Carlson that head coach 
Darin Loe introduced during the offseason have also had stand out performances during their first three outings for the Bearcats.
Quick has already added to his resume, batting .308 while driving in two runs on four hits with a double for Northwest. Rudolph has done the same, batting .231 driving in one run on three hits and drawing a walk. In Carlson's first three starts, he has locked up the team's third-best batting average at .333 and has notched four hits for the Bearcats.
Through the first three outings, the Bearcat offense has a combined batting average of .288. In 111 possible at bats, Northwest has 32 hits, 10 RBI's and 30 strikeouts.
On the mound, Northwest's pitchers combine for a 7.77 ERA in its last three games and have struck out 23 batters.
The matchup against Southeastern Oklahoma State is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on Feb. 5 at The Ballpark in Durant.
