TOPEKA, Kansas - The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team notched an overtime-game winning goal at Washburn on Friday night, 1-0.
The first two halves remained scoreless before freshman
Kaitlyn Case netted the game winner six minutes into overtime giving the Bearcats the program's second-ever win in Topeka. Case recorded her fifth goal of the season.
The Bearcats improve to 3-5-1 overall and 1-1-0 in conference play. They will travel to Emporia, Kansas Sunday to take on Emporia State beginning at 2 p.m.
Emporia State is 7-2 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They fell to Washburn 3-1 on Sept. 22.
