Baseball falls to Henderson State, 5-2

- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team fell to Henderson State, 5-2, on Saturday at Clyde Berry Field in Arkadelphia, Ark.
- The Bearcats fall to 1-5 on the year while the Reddies improved to 3-2.

Key Northwest Statistics
- Northwest scored two runs in the eighth. Henderson got one in the third, three in the seventh and one in the eighth.
- The Bearcats had two runs on two hits with four errors. HSU had five runs on nine hits with one error.
- Brad Roberts threw 5.2 innings, allowing six hits and no earned runs. He struck out nine and walked five.
- Trevor Dudar struck out the side in the eighth.
- Logan Rycraft was 1-for-2 with a pair of RBIs.
- Alixon Herrera was 1-for-3.
- Mondesi Gutierrez, Luke Hassman, Jay Hrdlicka and Jake Lewis all drew walks.
- Lewis and Tim Olson each scored runs.

Key Northwest Innings
- With one down in the eighth, Herrera reached on a single to center and went to second on an error. Olson came in to pinch run for Herrera and after an out, pinch hitter Lewis drew a walk to put runners on first and second. A balk advanced both runners up a base for Rycraft who came through with a single down the right field line to drive in two runs.
