Baseball drops Saturday contest to SBU


Story Headlines
- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team fell to Southwest Baptist, 11-6, on Saturday at Dodson Field in Bolivar, Mo.
- Northwest is now 24-14 on the year and 13-12 in conference action. Southwest Baptist improves to 27-11 overall and 17-8 in MIAA play.
- Ozzie Adams was 3-for-4 with two runs scored, a double, an RBI and a walk.

Key Northwest Statistics
- Northwest scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the fourth and two in the ninth. SBU had one in the second, one in the third, five in the fifth, two in the sixth, one in the seventh and one in the eighth.
- Southwest Baptist had 11 runs on 18 hits with one error. Northwest had six runs on 11 hits with four errors.
- Luke Hassman went 3-for-5 with an RBI and a double. He also had a stolen base.
- Kolby Greenslade was 2-for-4 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored.

Key Northwest Innings
- With one out in the first, Adams singled to center. After a flyout, Hassman hit an RBI double to center field, driving in Adams for the game's first run.

- With one down in the second, Barratt drew a walk and stole second. Greenslade hit a triple to right center on a 3-2 pitch, scoring Barratt. Rycraft then lifted a sacrifice fly to center to score Greenslade to make it 3-0 Northwest.

- In the fourth, Rycraft hit a one-out double to right center. A flyout allowed Rycraft to tag and advance to third. Adams then hit a single to the shortstop, allowing Rycraft to score to make it 4-2 Northwest.

- Adams started the ninth by drawing a four-pitch walk. Figg took the first pitch he saw over the right center field fence for a two run home run.
