Match Two Key Sequences
- In the first set, Northwest was holding a six-point lead until a Foster service error made it 17-12. But Rockhurst gave a service error right back to make it 18-12 and Foster came back with a kill of her own to make it 19-12. Another Hawk attack error made it 20-12 forcing a timeout. Dannettell and Williams combined on a block to make it 21-12 and Bruder gave the Bearcats a 10-point margin with a kill on the next point. Rockhurst wouldn't get any closer than eight points the remainder of the set.

- Down 12-11 in the fifth and final set, Schleppenbach sparked the Bearcats with two quick points, recording a kill and notching an ace on the ensuing serve. After a Rockhurst timeout, the Hawks came back to tie the match 13-13. On the next play, Foster recorded a kill to give Northwest its first match point. Rockhurst handled the serve but in a heads-up move, Dannettell made a quick attack instead of setting the ball and found an empty spot in Rockhurst's back line for the kill and the win.
