- Eryn Stockman handed the Hornets the lead in the bottom of the fifth when she sent a 1-0 pitch over the fence in left.

Sarah Baldwin (9-5) was handed the loss after giving up three runs on six hits in 5.2 innings of work. The senior struck out three batters and walked three.

Game Two Key Innings
- Blythe opened the contest with a single to right. After swiping second, Blythe scored when Maher doubled past third base, handing Northwest an early 1-0 lead.
- Northwest extended its lead in the fourth inning when Rawie doubled to left center. The catcher scored two batters later on Schieber's single to left, giving the Bearcats a two-run lead.
- The Hornets battled back with a single run in the fifth before taking the lead with a pair of runs in the sixth.
