- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team got an RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning from Austin Wulff to beat Lincoln, 3-2, on Friday afternoon at Bearcat Field.
- Northwest moved to 11-9 overall and 6-4 in MIAA play. The Blue Tigers fall to 1-19 on the year and 0-10 in conference action.
- Linclon tied the game in the top of the eight, 2-2, to send the game to extra innings.
- Wulff, who entered the game as a pinch runner in the sixth inning then stayed in right field, drove a ground ball through the leftside of the infield to score Kevin Handzlik from third.

Key Northwest Statistics
- Northwest scored two runs in the third and one in the 10th. The Bearcats had seven hits and no errors.
- Lincoln scored single runs in the second and eighth innings. The Blue Tigers had eight hits but committed two errors.
- Joseph Hietpas got the start and went 6.0 innings, allowing one run on seven hits. He had seven strikeouts and just one walk.
- Garrett Fort was 2-for-3 with a walk. He also stole two bases, giving him nine on the year.
- Wulff was 1-for-1 and was also hit by a pitch.

Key Northwest Innings
- With one out in the third, Gotta drew his first walk of the day and went to third on an Adams single. Hrdlicka singled to right, allowing Gotta to score and Adams went first to third on the hit. Lewis grounded out to second a batter later that allowed Adams to score making it 2-1 Bearcats.

- In the 10th, Handzlik drew a walk to lead off. Fort laid down a great sacrifice bunt up the first base line to move Handzlik to second. Zach Douglas was intentionally walked to put runners on first and second with one out. With Wulff up, pitcher Kolton Clark bounced a pitch that got away from the catcher, allowing the runners to move up to second and third. With the infield in, Wulff drove a 2-1 pitch through the left side of the infield to score Handzlik to win the game.
