Story Headlines- The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team crossed the plate 16 times on Saturday in a 16-1 victory over Lincoln University at Bearcat Field.

- The Blue Tigers' lone run came in the second on a solo homerun. Lincoln had three total hits and two errors, leading to four unearned runs.

Jake Lewis each picked up three hit games. Adams hit a double, drove in three runs and scored once. Lewis had two RBI and scored three times for Northwest.

Aaron Barratt had two hits, drove in three runs and scored once. He hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning.

Derek Meyer was 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs scored and slao drew two walks. He hit his third double of the year in the fifth.

Garrett Fort scored three times, going 1-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. He got his 10th stolen base of the year in the fourth inning.

Kevin Handzlik was 1-for-2 with two runs scored and an RBI. He drew two walks on the day.

Key Northwest Innings.- After falling behind 1-0, Northwest responded with six runs in the bottom of the second. Barratt hit a two-RBI single to left with one out and the bases loaded to start the scoring. Gotta drew a bases loaded walk to knock in another run. Adams hit an infield single that scored Barratt from third. Lewis took one for the team with the bases loaded to force in the fifth run of the inning and another bases loaded walk, issued to Handzlik, gave the Bearcats six for the frame.
- In the fourth, Adams doubled down the right field line with one out. Hrdlicka followed it up with a double down the left field line to score Adams. Lewis singled to right to drive in Hrdlicka. Handzlik kept the momentum going with an infield single, putting runners on first and second with one down. Fort hit a bases clearing double to center, driving in two runs, making it 9-1 Bearcats. Fort stole third and would score a batter later on a Barratt sacrifice fly, making it 11-1 Northwest. Greenslade singled to left and Gotta walked to load the bases. Adams came up for the second time in the inning and hit a single to right, scoring Greenslade and Meyer.
- Caenepeel worked a perfect top of the fifth inning, getting two strikeouts and a ground out while using just 11 pitches.
- Lewis started the fifth with a single up the middle. Handzlik drew a walk and Fort reached on an error to load the bases with no outs. Meyer doubled to right center to clear the bases. After a pitching change, Barratt hit a fly ball to center that fell safely for a single. On the play, a snow flurry had moved in and after a discussion, the game was called due to weather conditions.
