- This is only the third time in the program's 17 year history that the season begins with a draw. One of the previous occurences also came against Wayne State, a 2-2 tilt to start the 2005 season.
Key Moment of the Match- Malloy made back-to-back saves in the 53rd minute to help preserve the level score.
