Match One Key Statistics (Northwest def. MSU-Moorhead 3-2; 25-20, 25-19, 24-26, 21-25, 21-19)
- The Bearcats improved to 6-1 on the year by knocking off previously undefeated MSU-Moorhead (6-1) 3-2 to begin Saturday's two-match slate.
- Northwest won the first two sets but then dropped the next two to force a decisive fifth set.
- The Bearcats were led by Bruder who tallied 25 kills with 10 digs, five blocks and a service ace.

Jackie Becker had a match-high seven blocks to go along with 11 kills and two digs.

Match One Key Sequences- Down 10-6 in the second set, Northwest rallied to score eight of the next nine points to take a two-set lead over MSU-Moorhead. The Bearcats got kills from Foster and Bruder, then took the lead, 11-10, on a
Gabby Torline ace. After giving up a quick point, Northwest responded with three straight kills from Bruder and never trailed the rest of the set en route to a 25-19 win.
- The Bearcats fought off three match points in the fifth set to claim the victory. Each team had chances but Northwest got a pair of points from Dragon errors to take its second match-point at 18-17. But MSU-Moorhead responded with two points of their own on back-to-back kills, giving the Dragons a match-point up 19-18. After a Bearcat timeout, setter Dannettell got a kill off an assist from Foster to tie it at 19-19. Northwest forced an attacking error from MSU-Moorhead to go up 20-19. On the Bearcats' third match-point opportunity of the set, Bruder notched her 25th kill on an assist from Duren to give the Bearcats the match.
Match Two Key Statistics (Northern State def. Northwest 3-0; 11-25, 15-25, 10-25)
- The Bearcats got six kills from Foster and five kills from Bruder. Bruder also had a team-best nine digs.
- Dannettell had 14 assists in the match.
- Bruder, Duren, Wittenburg and Dannettell all recorded service aces for the Bearcats.
- Northern State improved to 8-0 with the win while Northwest dropped to 6-2 on the year.
Up Next- The Bearcats return to the state of Missouri next weekend for a pair of matches. The Bearcats will head to St. Joseph, Mo., on Saturday, Sept. 19, to face Henderson State at noon followed by a 4 p.m. match against Oklahoma Baptist at 4 p.m.
