Game One Key Innings- After falling behind 3-0 in the first inning, the Bearcats closed the gap to two after
Torri Blythe reached on a fielder's choice. The sophomore stole second, her 12th swipe this season, and scored after
Cassidy Lee sent a single to center.
- The Bearcats batted around and tacked on six runs in the fifth after
Jessica Rawie reached third on a dropped fly ball. The catcher came in to score when Blythe slapped a single to right. Two batters later,
Rebecca Maher sent a double to right, scoring Blythe.
Stephanie Mark cleared the bases in the next at bat with a home run to left. The Gorillas seemed to be out of the inning when
Chantel Adams struck out swinging, but the pitch got past the catcher and Adams beat the throw to first.
Baylee Scarbrough made Pittsburg State pay for their mistake when she sent the next pitch over the right field fence, giving Northwest a 7-3 edge.

Kendle Schieber threw a complete game one-hitter in the second matchup, allowing just two base runners. The junior struck out seven Gorillas and recorded 11 straight to close out the game.

Game Two Key Innings- Northwest grabbed a pair of runs in the first after
Torri Blythe was hit by a pitch to start the game. After moving to third on
Rebecca Maher's single to center, the two came around to score when
Chantel Adams drilled a double to the gap in right center.
- The Bearcats added three more in the third when Maher legged out a one-out double followed by a walk to
Stephanie Mark. Adams again came up with a two-run double and came around to score herself when
Baylee Scarbrough banged a double of her own.

Jessica Rawie drew a walk to lead off the fourth and headed to second on Blythe's sacrifice bunt. Rawie tapped the plate when
Cassidy Lee sent a single back up the middle.

Abigail Gilson added a home run of her own two batters later to put Northwest up, 8-1.
- The Bearcats put together a two-out rally in the sixth after Mark reached on a fielder's choice. Following a walk to Adams,
Baylee Scarbrough singled up the middle. All three scored on a wild pitch compounded with a throwing error from the catcher.
