Northwest Missouri State University head women's golf coach Lathan Croy led the Bearcats to the program's first NCAA Div. II regional tournament berth in the 2024-25 season in his first year at the helm.
Croy also saw the Bearcats place second at the 2025 MIAA Tournament, the highest finish in program history.
Bearcat Director of Athletics Dr. Andy Peterson has named Lathan Croy as its new head women’s golf coach July 26, 2024.
Croy served as a student assistant and graduate assistant for the Bearcat golf squad since he arrived at Northwest in 2020. Croy was a first-team all-region collegiate golfer at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Mo., before he landed at Northwest.
Croy has been an integral part the Bearcat women’s golf program since joining the staff. Since Fall 2022, the Bearcats have posted seven of the top-10 single-round team scores in program history. He also helped coach Paige Hoffman to an MIAA individual title and an appearance at the 2023 NCAA Div. II national championship meet.
He earned his associate degree in arts and teaching from North Central Missouri College in 2019. He completed his bachelor of science degree in physical education from Northwest in 2022. He gained his master’s degree in applied health and sport sciences in 2024.
