Chapin Yourison

Chapin Yourison is the head athletic trainer at Northwest Missouri State University. Yourison took over the head duties June 16, 2025, after serving as an associate athletic trainer for the Bearcats in the spring of 2025.

As the associate athletic trainer she served as the insurance coordinator and the athletic trainer for Bearcat track & field.

Previously, she was an assistant athletic director for sports medicine at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

Yourison had a previous role at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she was the Director of Athletic Training and Head Athletic Trainer, managing a staff of seven ATs. Yourison directed and facilitated all sports medicine-related policies and procedures, for all 700 athletes at UWL. 

Before her position at UWL, Yourison was the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine, Senior Woman Administrator, and Assistant Compliance Coordinator at the Illinois Institute of Technology. In total, Yourison had over a decade of experience in sports medicine.

Yourison is a 2011 graduate of Aurora University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training and went on to earn her Master of Rehabilitative Sciences from the California University of Pennsylvania in 2014.

Yourison took over the head athletic trainer duties at Northwest when Christy Tapps was named Northwest's Assistant Vice President for Health and Wellbeing.

She and her husband, Tim, reside in Maryville.
