Abby Buckman joined the Northwest Missouri State University athletic training staff in June 2026.
Buckman will work with the Bearcat baseball and tennis teams.
She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Upper Iowa University in 2024. She also softball for the Peacocks as a student-athlete. In her four-year playing career at Upper Iowa, she was a pitcher and she tallied 17 victories. She struck out 179 batters in 76 career pitching appearances.
She obtained her master's degree in athletic training from Truman State University in May 2026. Buckman gained student clinical experiences through Truman State University's athletic teams and Kirksville High School as well as through Great River Health in Burlington, Iowa where she got the opportunity to work with the Burlington Bees Baseball team. During her time at Truman State, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Exercise Science where she taught First Aid and CPR to undergraduate students.Â
She is a native of Conesville, Iowa, and a high school graduate of Lone Tree.
