Emily Yakle is a 5'7", defender from Liberty, Missouri (Kearney HS). Yakle helped lead Kearney to a third-place finish in the state tournament in 2019 for head coach Amanda Hopkins. She earned honorable mention all-conference honors as a sophomore. She played club soccer for KC Athletics RL ECNL 03 for coach Brad Childers.
 
"Emily will be part of the defense," Gordon said. "She has played all roles on the back line in various formations. She is very good at anticipating passes and disrupting the opponents attack. Emily provides great vision, giving us another player in the defense with an attacker's mindset, after winning the ball defensively."
