Northwest Missouri State Athletics

Jake Coffman joined the Northwest Missouri State University athletic training staff in the summer of 2021.

In his current role at Northwest, he serves as the head athletic trainer for men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and cheerleading. He also assists at Bearcat football home games.

Prior to arriving at Northwest, Coffman served as an intern athletic trainer at the University of Florida working with the Gators’ baseball program as well as men’s and women’s basketball. While at the University of Florida he obtained a Master of Science in applied physiology and kinesiology with a concentration in human performance.

Coffman, a Columbia, Mo., native graduated from the University of Missouri in 2019 with a Bachelor of Health Science in athletic training.

Coffman holds multiple certifications including Integrative Dry Needling, Blood Flow Restriction Training, and is a Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
