John Petroff threw a season best 53’ 11.25” at the MIAA Indoor Championships (2/28) in the weight throw … Petroff threw a season best 46’ 2” at the Nebraska Tune Up (2/21) in the shot put

Outdoor:
John Petroff threw a season best 174’ 2” at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (5/2) in the discus, earning him a third place finish and All-MIAA honors … Petroff was a NCAA Division II national qualifier in the discus … Petroff threw a season a best 47’ 7.25” at the MIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (5/2) in the shot put … He threw a season best 157’ 0” at the 2014 Kip Janvrin Open (4/24) in the hammer throw

Had a career-best throw of 48-6.25 in the shot put at the Mule Relays (2/6) finishing sixth ... at the Central Missouri Classic (2/19) had a career-high in the weight throw with a throw of 55-8.25 and placed sixth ... during the outdoor season had a career-best in the shot put at the Bearcat Open (4/30) with a throw of 53-1.75 and placed second ... also at the Bearcat Open he recorded a career-high in the discus with a throw of 167-1 and placed second

Parkway Central HS

Placed second in the discus throw at 2007 state meet... finished fifth at state throwing the shot put in 2008 and qualified for state in the discus... also played football and was named all-conference in the 2006... played in the state title game for football his senior season in 2007
