Nick Peters

Nicholas Peters has been an assistant athletic trainer at Northwest Missouri State since 2012. His primary role is to provide medical coverage for the Bearcat volleyball, men’s basketball and cheerleading teams.

In July 2019, Peters signed on as an employee of Mosaic Life Care as an athletic trainer.  He maintains his status and job duties at Northwest Missouri State University with this transition.

Peters earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Fort Hays State in 2008. During his first stint at Northwest, he received his master’s degree in health and physical education in April 2010. As a graduate assistant athletic trainer, Peters worked with the Bearcat baseball, football, track & field and volleyball teams before moving into a part-time role for a year.  During that year as an assistant athletic trainer, he was responsible for women’s soccer and the Final Four women’s basketball squad.

During the summer of 2011, he obtained a seasonal internship with Denver Broncos where he worked until returning to Maryville in the summer of 2012.

A native of Goessel, Kansas, Peters resides in Maryville.
