Tyler Jandron enters his third year on the Bearcat coaching staff as a volunteer coach, serving as the program’s pitching coach.
Jandron has helped the Bearcats to a mark of 63-43 in two seasons that has included the program's 10th trip to the NCAA Tournament.
Jandron led the pitching staff of a team that achieved a mark of 36-18 in the 2026 season, which included a program-tying 25 MIAA wins and a fourth-place finish in the league. The Bearcats won eight of 12 series in league play including regular season sweeps of Pittsburg State and Missouri Southern. The 36 wins tied for the second-most in a single season in Bearcat baseball history. Northwest had six wins over ranked opponents in 2026. Northwest gained the first national ranking for the program since the 2004 season. It also marked the first national ranking in the ABCA Coaches Poll in program history.
Jandron, 31, is still playing professionally around the college season. In 2026, he pitched for the Guerreros de Oaxaca of the Mexican League, along with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks of the American Association. During the 2025 campaign, he pitched for the RedHawks and the Jaguares de Nayarit of the Mexican Pacific League.
Prior to joining the staff at Northwest, Jandron has pitched professionally since graduating from Northwood University (MI) in 2018. His previous playing stops include the Ottawa Titans and the Joliet Slammers of the Frontier League, Winnipeg Goldeyes of the American Association, and in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization.
At Northwood, Jandron helped lead the Timberwolves to back-to-back NCAA regional appearances. The 2017 team broke a 52-year post-season drought at Northwood, capturing the regular season and conference tournament titles, along with hosting an NCAA Regional Tournament. In his two years at Northwood, he was a two-time All-American. Before attending Northwood University, Jandron spent two years at University of Wisconsin-Parkside where he competed in baseball and basketball.
