MIAA Scholar-Athlete ... started all 14 games as nose guard ... tied for the team lead with 8.0 quarterback sacks ... second on the team in tackles-for-loss (13.5) ... third on the squad in total tackles (66) ... had eight tackles at Missouri Western (9/5) ... registered two sacks in Northwest's MIAA clinching win over Central Missouri (11/16) ... secured a season-high 10 tackles and 2.0 TFLs at Ferris State (12/7).

2018
Played in 11 games on the defensive line as a true freshman ... made 15 total tackles, 2.5 TFLs and 1.5 quarterback sacks ... tallied two tackles, 1.5 TFS and half a sack in a 48-21 win at Central Missouri (11/10).

Was an all-state performer at Bolivar HS for coach Glen Johnson … earned all-conference honors three times and was a two-time all-district performer … named first-team all-region twice … was also named first team all-district in baseball … member of the National Honor Society … was on the Academic Honor Roll … parents are Matthew and Erin Howard.
