Appeared in 26 games as a junior...averaged 15.7 minutes per contest...totaled 72 points...tallied 27 steals and dished out 25 assists...pulled down 28 offensive rebounds.

2022-23
Started in 10 games as a sophomore...averaged 5.6 points and game with 32 assists...had 39 steals on the year...had a career high 17 points vs. Colorado Mesa while dishing out three assists and four rebounds.

2021-22
Played in 28 games as a freshman, averaging about 19 minutes a game....averaged 5.1 points a game and dished out 46 assists.  

Evelyn Vazquez is a 5'5", point guard from Kansas City, Missouri.

She is a Piper High School (KS) graduate and has accumulated a 4.125 GPA. She ranks 15th in a class of 160.

On the court, Vazquez helped guide Piper High School to an 81-10 record during her career which included four conference championships and three final four appearances at state.  She started all four years for the Lady Pirates.

She averaged 14.4 points, 5.7 steals, 5.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game as a junior. Vazquez earned first-team all-state honors as a junior for head coach Shane Stout. She was an honorable mention all-state pick as both a freshman and a sophomore. 

Vazquez averaged 14.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 3.2 steals her senior season.  She was named a McDonald’s All-America nominee in 2021.  She was also named first-team all-frontier league & second-team all-state (5A).  She finished No. 1 all-time in assists at Piper HS.  She also finished No. 2 in steals, No. 7 in points and No. 9 all-time in rebounds. 
           
Vazquez was a member of record-setting teams in track and field and also earned multiple top finishes in the state. 

Evelyn played for Coach Shane Stout and is the daughter of Brian Vazquez and Malinda Powell.
