DeShaun Cooper was the MIAA Player of the Year and a first team All-MIAA performer … NABC first team All-America and All-Central District … earned fourth team All-America honors from the NCAA Division II Bulletin … CoSIDA/Daktronics All-Central Region first team … All-Central Region tournament team … named to the NABC Reese’s College All-Star Game … finished his career with 1,702 points, 489 assists, 170 three pointers and 132 steals in 114 games … led the team with 17.6 points per game … led the team in scoring 15 times during the year … had a streak of 11 consecutive games with double digit points … finished the year by scoring double figures in 12 consecutive games … recorded 128 assists, averaging 4.0 per game … scored in double figures 28 contests and surpassed 20 points in 13 games … scored a then-career high 32 points against Missouri Southern (1/22), hitting the game winner with :03 seconds left … netted a career-best 35 points in a win at Lincoln (2/8) on 13 made field goals … hit six three pointers in a win over Fort Hays State (12/21).

2009-10
Was named MIAA Freshman of the year in 2009-2010 ... DeShaun started eight games, but appeared in all 27 games as a true freshman ... averaged 10.7 points per game, four assists and 2.3 rebounds in 27.3 minutes played ... his four assists per game led the team and put him fourth on the MIAA individual assist leader chart ... DeShaun also finished seventh in the league with 1.4 steals per game ... had a career high 23 points on January 16th against Southwest Baptist ... had 18 points, six rebounds and dished-out nine assists in his first game as a Bearcat ...
