Northwest Missouri State volleyball player Mya Karrick has been named the MIAA Setter of the Week.

Karrick (Shorewood, Minn./Minnetonka HS/Morgan State) averaged 9.33 assists per set in helping Northwest to a 2-0 start to MIAA play. Karrick had 40 assists, two blocks, a kill and a service ace in the five-set win over Central Oklahoma. Karrick contributed with 44 assists, four kills, a block and a service ace in a four-set triumph over Newman.

Karrick and the Bearcats will be in action Tuesday at home against the Washburn Ichabods. First serve is set for 6 p.m. at Bearcat Arena.
