Northwest Missouri State University head men's basketball coach Matt Keeley has announced the hiring of assistant coach Jamison Carmichael to the Bearcat staff for the 2026-27 season.
 
Carmichael spent the previous eight years as an assistant coach at the University of Saint Mary in Leavenworth, Kan. Saint Mary averaged 20 wins over the past three seasons, was ranked as high as No. 11 in the country last year and won the 2025 KCAC Tournament. During his time at Saint Mary, he coached 12 all-conference Performers. Carmichael previously worked at Hawaii Pacific, Baker and SMU.
 
He graduated from the University of Kansas with a sports management degree in 2015. He gained his master's degree in management and leadership from Baker University in 2017.
 
He was born and raised in Manhattan, Kan. He and his wife, Brittany, reside in Maryville.
