The Northwest Missouri State track and field squads competed in their final meets before the conference championships, capturing four event titles and a pair of NCAA Division II provisional marks at the Kip Janvrin Open and Viking Classic.

Kip Janvrin Open Events
(M) 100-meter Dash: Freshman
Cash Emgarten placed 19th overall and first among Div. II competitors in the race with a time of 11.05.

(M) 200-meter Dash:
Cash Emgarten crossed the finish line with a time of 22.55 and secured 15th overall.
Â
(M) 800-meter Run:
Isaac Sorensen claimed third for Div. II and 22nd overall with a time of 1:55.35. Following close behind was
Jack Beard with a time of 1:55.78, earning 24th overall and fourth among Div. II runners.
Andres Kemper (1:57.91),
Bentley St. John (1:59.29), and
Ryker Pithan (1:59.36) secured seventh, ninth, and 10th among Div. II schools and 43rd, 53rd, and 54th overall. Sorensen, Beard, and Kemper all recorded new personal-bests in the event.

(W) 800-meter Run: Freshman
Bailey Robinson earned a new personal-best time of 2:19.42 with a fourth-place Div. II finish and placed 24th overall.

(W) 400-meter Hurdles: Unattached freshman
Josie McGraw secured fourth overall with a time of 1:04.21.

(M) 1,500-meter Run: Junior
Grayson Tapp crossed the finish line with a time of 3:49.12 for a fifth-place overall finish and a first-place Div. II finish.Â

Ava Campbell and
Taylor Rodgers claimed new personal-best times of 4:55.51 and 5:04.86 while placing 20th and 35th in the event. Campbell and Rodgers captured fifth and seventh among Div. II competitors respectively.Â

Alyna Thibault secured fourth in the event as an unattached competitor with a time of 4:28.47.

(M) 5,000-meter Run: Freshman
Hunter DeLeeuw crossed the finish line with a time of 14:53.95 giving him a seventh-place finish and third among Div. II athletes. Senior
Austin Goetsche secured 12th overall and fifth among Div. II runners with a time of 14:58.39. Rounding out the top three for the 'Cats was
Levi Allen with a time of 15:13.14, earning a ninth-place Div. II finish and 27th overall. All three runners set new personal-best times in the event.Â

(M) 3,000-meter Steeplechase:
Elijah Dix captured fourth against Div. II competitors and 14th overall with a new personal-best time of 9:38.99.
Alex Jackson placed 31st with a time of 10:19.53. Jackson placed ninth among Div. II athletes.Â

Mayson Hartley captured a Div. II second-place finish with a time of 11:23.06. Hartley placed 10th overall in the event.Â

(M) Shot Put: Freshman
Alex Wilson secured a runner-up finish with a throw of 15.26m (50-0.75).

Jordyn Matiyow claimed the event title.Â

Demarii Williams secured first place overall with a throw of 46.03m (151-0).
Dustin Wurtz had a throw of 43.30m (142-0) to claim fourth.

(W) Javelin Throw: In her collegiate debut,
Kalyn Washburn secured the event crown with a Division II provisional throw of 42.69m (140-0) – giving her the fifth-farthest women's javelin throw in school history.

(M) Hammer Throw: Junior
Josh Shelly secured a provisional throw of 57.44m (188-5), captured the event crown while setting the second-farthest hammer throw in the Northwest record books. Coming in right behind Shelly was
Dustin Wurtz with a second-place finish and a 51.59m (169-3) throw.
Alex Wilson earned a throw of 48.06m (157-8) and placed fourth overall. Shelly and Wilson set new personal-bests in the event.

Margherita Sala and
Alli Poage claimed second and third respectively with throws of 45.75m (150-1) and 45.65m (149-9). Sid Koehler secured 10th place in the event with a throw of 42.21m (138-6).
