TOPEKA, Kan. - The No. 9-ranked Washburn Ichabods scored a 6-1 dual win over the No. 50-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team Saturday.
The Ichabods won their ninth consecutive match to move to 14-5 overall and 5-0 in MIAA dual action. Northwest dropped to 10-8 overall and 2-2 in MIAA play.
Bernardo Henriques claimed Northwest's only win on the day at No. 4 singles. Henriques posted a 3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-8) triumph over No. 74-ranked Yuto Miyagawa. Henriques has won seven straight singles matches and sits at 13-7 on the season. Henriques is 7-2 at No. 4 singles this spring.
Northwest will wrap up MIAA dual play Sunday against Emporia State in Emporia, Kan.
