The Northwest Missouri State University track and field teams found success at the Bryan Clay Invitational and ESU Relays, tallying up 11 new provisional marks, a new school record, and three event titles across both meets.

At the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Drew Atkins shattered the Northwest 10,000-meter school record, crossing the line with a top-three Division II finish and one of the fastest times recorded in the country this year.

Kiki Witt delivered a standout performance in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking the second-fastest time in school history and finishing as the No. 6 Division II competitor at the meet.

At the ESU Relays, Northwest secured a pair of individual event titles, led by
Kennedi Cline in the women's 400-meter dash and
Josh Fraker in the men's 800-meter run. Cline highlighted the action by bettering her own mark in the school record books and improving her Div. II provisional time.

The women's 4x100-meter relay team continued its dominant stretch, claiming the event crown while beating its own top-10 program mark and improving its season-best provisional time.

Truman Hare captured a runner-up finish in the 400-meter dash, crossing the line with the second-fastest time in Northwest history.

In the field,
Tyrus Smith secured a pair of Division II provisional marks in the men's shot put and discus. Smith's performance in the shot put also etched his name into the Northwest record books.

(M) 3000-meter Steeplechase Open: Senior
Barnabe Gabillet placed fifth among Division II athletes and 33rd overall with a provisional time of 8:58.96. Gabillet also beat his own fifth-fastest men's steeplechase time in school history.

(W) 3000-meter Steeplechase Open: Senior
Kiki Witt crossed the finish line with a Div. II provisional time of 10:30.69, earning her 29th overall, sixth among Div. II athletes, and secured the second-fastest women's steeplechase time in Northwest's history.

Drew Atkins broke the Northwest 10,000-meter run school record with a Division II provisional time of 28:43.25, placing 24th overall in the event and third among Div. II athletes.Â

(M) 100-meter Dash: Unattached senior
Dominic Sedlacek placed third with a time of 10.22

(W) 100-meter Dash: Sophomore
Krysta Abel claimed a new Div. II provisional time of 11.61, which secured her second place overall, and the new fourth-fastest time in school history. Abel's time also ranks as her new personal best.

(W) 200-meter Dash: Senior
Melanie Roland earned third place with a provisional time of 24.02 – setting Northwest's new fifth-fastest 200-meter dash time. Roland also set a new personal best. Following right behind was junior
Jaurdin Mallory with fourth place finish with a time of 24.51. Rounding out the top three for the 'Cats was
Hallie Henfling who secured a time of 24.62, placing seventh.Â

Truman Hare crossed the finish line with a Div. II provisional time of 46.53, claiming a runner-up finish in the event.
Logan Arellano secured a new Division II provisional time of 47.10 and earned fourth place overall. Hare and Arellano both claimed new personal bests while earning the new second and sixth-fastest 400-meter dash times respectively in Northwest history.Â

Kennedi Cline captured the event crown with a new Division II provisional time of 53.94 – beating her own seventh-fastest time in school history.

Josh Fraker crossed the finish line with a time of 1:52.94, securing the event title.
Jack Beard placed seventh overall with a time of 1:55.45, earning him a new personal best.

Jeremiah Rainey-Dunlap leaped a height of 1.99m (6-6.25), earning him third overall.

Jonathan Hedrick placed seventh with a leap of 6.55m (21-6). Hedrick set a new personal best.

(W) Long Jump: Sophomore
Campbell Barta recorded a jump of 5.61m (18-5), earning her a third place finish in the event.Â

David Parker II captured third place overall with a leap of 14.50m (47-7).
Jonathan Hedrick recorded a mark of 13.81m (45-3.75) while claiming a fifth place finish and a new personal best.

(M) Shot Put: Freshman
Tyrus Smith broke into the Northwest record books at No. 7 with a provisional throw of 17.20m (56-5.25). Smith placed third in the event.
Demarii Williams secured fourth place overall with a throw of 16.36m (53-8.25).

Jordyn Matiyow placed ninth overall and set a new personal best.Â

Josh Shelly secured a throw of 56.18m (184-4), second place in the event, while beating his own third-farthest hammer throw in the Northwest record books. Coming in right behind Shelly was
Dustin Wurtz with a third-place finish and a 52.87m (173-5) throw.
Tyrus Smith earned a throw of 48.91m (160-5) and placed 10th overall.
