KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two talented student-athletes will share the honor of being the Athletic Solutions "A Game" Scholar-Athlete of the 2026 MIAA Men's Basketball Championship. Jarreth Ingram of the University of Central Oklahoma and
Jack Ratigan of Northwest Missouri State University will both be presented with the "A Game" trophy on the opening day of the 2026 MIAA Basketball Championships.
The top ten teams from the 2025-26 MIAA men's basketball season are in Kansas City, Mo., this week for the league's postseason basketball tournament, hosted March 4-8 in Kansas City's historic Municipal Auditorium. Among the many NCAA Division II student-athletes competing in the championship, Central Oklahoma's Jarreth Ingram and Northwest Missouri's
Jack Ratigan were named the championship's "A Game" Scholar-Athletes.
Established by the MIAA in 2022, "A Game" Scholar-Athlete Award presented by
Athletic Solutions acknowledges the overall excellence of a student-athlete by recognizing one individual who has contributed to their team's success while also achieving the highest academic standard among peers. The student-athlete honored with the "A Game" Scholar-Athlete Award must be an active member of a qualifying team and must have a minimum of two terms completed at the institution.
Jarreth Ingram is a 6-8 junior forward from Skiatook, Okla., on the Bronchos basketball team. He's a biomedical engineering major with a perfect 4.0 grade point average and has 93 credits completed. Ingram and the Bronchos enter the 2026 championship as the No. 9 seed after ending the regular season with a league record of 9-10.
Ingram is the first Broncho men's basketball player and third Central Oklahoma student-athlete overall to earn the "A Game" Scholar-Athlete title.
Jack Ratigan is a 6-7 junior forward from Overland Park, Okla., on the Bearcats basketball team. In the classroom, Ratigan also owns a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a managerial accounting major with 93 credits completed. On the court, he's started all 30 games for the Bearcats, averaging 4.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game. He leads Northwest with 35 blocked shots and ranks seventh in the league with 1.2 blocks per game. Ratigan helped the Bearcats to the final seed of the men's postseason tournament after finishing the regular season with an MIAA record of 8-11.
Ratigan is the sixth Northwest student-athlete to claim the "A Game" Scholar-Athlete award overall and the first Bearcat men's basketball player to do so.Â
Both Ingram and Ratigan will be presented with the Athletic Solutions "A Game" Scholar-Athlete award this Wednesday, March 4, before tip-off of both men's opening round games.
