PELLA, Iowa – The Northwest Missouri State University outdoor track and field squads continued their strong start to the outdoor season Saturday, capturing three event titles and numerous runners-up finishes at the Central Invitational hosted by Central College.

Running Events
(M) 100-meter Dash: Freshman
Isaiah Bates placed seventh in the prelims to qualify for finals with a time of 10.70. Bates did not start in the finals.

(W) 200-meter Dash: Sophomore
Courtney Kiley crossed the finish line with a time of 25.46, earning ninth overall.
Â
(M) 400-meter Dash: Junior
Christian Lanphier secured a runner-up finish with a time of 48.64. Following hundredths behind was
Josh Fraker with a time of 48.72, who placed third.
Juan Hernandez placed ninth with a time of 49.97.Â

(M) 800-meter Run: Junior
Jess Cornick earned a time of 1:58.82 and placed fifth overall.
Andres Kemper claimed seventh with a time of 1:59.08. Rounding out the top three for the 'Cats was
Jack Beard who crossed the line at 1:59.64 for a ninth-place finish.

Bret Beard placed fourth overall in the event with a time of 1:57.86. Â

(W) 100-meter Hurdles: Sophomore
Anjelena Carder set a qualifying mark of 14.77 which earned her fourth in the prelims. Carder did not start in the finals.

(M) 400-meter Hurdles: Sophomore
Aiden O'Leary took the event title with a time of 55.25.

Anjelena Carder secured a runner-up finish with a time of 1:02.68.
Kendall Tietjen crossed the finish line with a time of 1:03.08, placing fourth.
Josie McGraw claimed seventh for the 'Cats with a time of 1:05.56Â

(M) 1500-meter Run: Freshman
Jack Williams claimed second place out of 55 competitors with a time of 4:00.50.
Levi Allen finished with a time of 4:08.12, earning him eighth.

(W) 1500-meter Run: Sophomore
Marie Dea crossed the finish line with a time of 4:46.63, securing fourth overall.

(M) 5000-meter Run:
Austin Goetsche captured the event crown with a new personal best time of 15:13.76.

(W) 5000-meter Run:
Shelby Harris and
Jessa Cassity secured first and second respectively, and both set new personal bests. Harris earned a time of 18:20.51, while Cassity followed close behind with a time of 18:24.91.

(W) 3000-meter Steeplechase: Junior
Mayson Hartley crossed the finish line with a time of 11:28.33, earning her fifth place in the event.

(M) 4x100-meter Relay: Northwest's 4x100-meter relay team, consisting of
Quinn Gruver,
Cash Emgarten,
Xavier Horn and
Isaiah Bates placed sixth overall with a time of 42.86.

Field Events
(M) High Jump:Â
Jeremiah Rainey-Dunlap tied for third  place overall with a jump of 2.01m.
(M) Triple Jump: Sophomore
David Parker II had a leap of 13.94m which earned him a runner up finish in the event.
Jonathan Hedrick placed eight with a leap of 13.16m.
