ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second consecutive day the No. 50-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team had its dual come down to the final match, but Saturday the UMSL Tritons pulled out a narrow 4-3 victory.

Northwest leveled its season mark at 5-5 overall. UMSL improved to 3-5 overall.

The Tritons took a 1-0 lead by earning wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles.

The Bearcats began their singles' rally with victories from
Pavlo Vysotin (No. 2 singles),
Konstantin Feiel (No. 4 singles) and
Jules Subra (No. 5 singles) to draw even at 3-3.

For as many times in as many days, the dual came down to No. 6 singles. Northwest's
Andres Rodrigues. However, UMSL's Jose Yanez recorded a 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 (10-8) win to push the Tritons to the dual win.

UMSL won three of the singles' matches with a third-set super-tiebreaker.
