SEARCY, Ark. – The No. 25-ranked Harding University Bisons collected a 4-3 dual win Monday over the Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis squad.
The Bisons moved to 6-2 and Northwest dipped to 1-4 in the dual season.
Northwest's No. 3 doubles team of
Konstantin Feiel and
Pavlo Vysotin recorded a 6-3 triumph over Harding's Floridan Gayme and Jan Alexander Has. However, the Bisons tallied wins at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to take a 1-0 lead.
Feiel finished off his day with a singles' win at No. 4. Feiel toppled Has in three sets (3-6, 7-6, 6-1). Feiel is 3-0 this spring at No. 4 singles.
Pavlo Vysotin rallied for a three-set triumph at No. 2 singles after dropping the first set to Harding's Adrian Solorzano. Vysotin won by scores of 2-6, 7-5, 7-6.
Bernardo Henriques posted a three-set victory at No. 3 singles vs. Harding's Cian Mikkelsen (6-3, 4-6, 6-2).
Northwest will return to play Tuesday against Arkansas-Fort Smith at 11 a.m. in Fort Smith, Ark.
