No. 48-ranked Northwest men's tennis looks for historic win Friday against SBU

The Northwest Missouri State University men's tennis team will look to claim an historic victory Friday at 1 p.m. at home at the Rosewell Tennis Center against Southwest Baptist University.
 
Northwest will look to gain a win that would hand head coach Mark Rosewell his 1,300th career coaching victory. Rosewell has accumulated 1,299 victories in 44 years as a collegiate tennis coach. Rosewell has tallied 1,277 victories in 42 seasons at Northwest. He also gained 22 coaching wins in two seasons at the University of Central Missouri prior to taking the Northwest coaching job.
 
The Northwest men are 3-4 this season with dual wins over Southern Arkansas, Arkansas-Fort Smith and Colorado Mesa.
 
Northwest is ranked No. 48 the nation in the latest ITA team tennis rankings.
 
Northwest has a pair of singles' players ranked among the top 75 in the ITA rankings. Sophomore Pavlo Vysotin is ranked No. 64 and junior Bernardo Henriques is ranked No. 65. Vysotin is 5-3 overall and 4-2 at No. 2 singles this spring. Henriques is 5-4 overall and 3-2 at No. 3 singles.
