Liberty, Mo. — The Northwest Missouri State University baseball team scored a commanding 8-2 victory over William Jewell College on Wednesday, collecting 10 hits, including five doubles and a home run.

The Bearcats started strong in the first inning as
Frank Gall was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a passed ball, setting the stage for
Jeremiah Cabuyaban, who homered to right field, driving in two runs. The inning concluded with Northwest Missouri State leading 2-0.

Jordi Ventura walked and advanced to third, eventually scoring on
