The Northwest Missouri State indoor track and field teams have received their week 7 USTFCCCA TFRI rankings ahead of the national championship, with the men's squad holding steady at No. 5 nationally and the women's team rising to No. 12 in the country.
Both teams hold steady with their Central Region rankings, with the men at No. 2 and the women at No. 3. Both the Bearcat men (115 points) and women (106 points) claimed runner-up team finishes at the 2026 MIAA Indoor Conference Championships.
Northwest will send 22 athletes to the 2026 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships, taking place March 13-14 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va. The Bearcats will be represented by 12 men's team members and eight from the women's squad. Additionally, two more athletes will join them at the national meet.
