MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State University indoor track and field finished day two of the Bearcat Invite with two event titles and five new Division II provisional nods, while honoring its senior class.

In the men's 60-meter dash, seniorÂ
Dominic Sedlacek broke his own school record, earning himself a Division II provisional nod along with the third-fastest time in the nation so far this season.

Both of Northwest's men's and women's 4x400-meter relay teams had impressive performances with each claiming their respective title. The women's team set the third-fastest time in the nation so far this season with the men's team setting the 10th-best.

SeniorÂ
Aziz Mohammed continued his impressive season by breaking his own fourth-best time in the school record books and earning a new Division II provisional time. Mohammed also earned the 13th fastest time in Div. II so far this season.Â
Running Events
(M) 60-meter Run: Four Bearcats competed in the event, with one qualifying for finals. SeniorÂ
Dominic Sedlacek crushed his previous school record with a Div. II provisional time of 6.64 placing first in the prelims – giving him the third-fastest time in the nation this season. Sedlacek did not start in the finals.

(W) 60-meter Run: Four Bearcats competed in the event, with two qualifying for finals. Sophomore
Campbell Barta secured second in the prelims, finishing with a Div. II provisional time of 7.58.
Krysta Abel crossed the line with a Div. II provisional time of 7.61, earning fifth.

In the finals, Abel improved her qualifying time, placing third, claiming a Division II provisional time of 7.54 – giving her the fourth-fastest time in Northwest history. Barta did not start in the finals.

(M) 60-meter Hurdles: Two Bearcats competed in the event, with one qualifying for finals. Sophomore
Frank Sparks took first out of 88 competitors in the prelims with an NCAA Division II provisional time 7.89.Â

In the finals, Sparks crossed the finish line at 7.99, earning another Div. II provisional time, and placing second overall.Â

(W) 60-meter Hurdles: Three Bearcats competed in the event, with one qualifying for finals. With a qualifying time of 8.96, sophomoreÂ
Josie McGraw earned seventh in the prelims.

In the finals, McGraw improved her qualifying time, placing seventh, claiming a time of 8.92.
(M) 600-yard Run: Freshman
Breck Brown earned himself the tenth fastest time in school history, crossing the line at 1:11.78, placing second overall. Coming in close behind was junior
Jess Cornick who secured third with a time of 1:11.82.
Charlie Warren finished with a time of 1:13.40 and placed ninth. All three runners set new personal bests.
(M) 800-meter Run: Crossing over the finish line at 1:51.56,Â
Christian Lanphier took third place, set a new personal best, and recorded the seventh-fastest time in school history.  Right behind Lanphier was
Bret Beard who finished fourth with a time of 1:52.32.

(W) 800-meter run: Sophomore
Marie Dea set a new Div. II provisional time of 2:09.53 while placing second overall.
Jadyn Barnes was next up for the 'Cats, finishing in fourth, with a Div. II provisional time of 2:10.80 – giving her the sixth-fastest time in school history. Also earning a spot in the record books,
Kendall Tietjen set the new eighth-fastest time at 2:12.49, taking sixth.
Melanie Roland finished eight overall with a time of 2:13.94.

Jack Williams finished seventh overall with a time of 4:12.36, setting a new personal best.Â

Lydia McGlocklin finished second overall with a time of 4:56.68, while sophomoreÂ
Olivia Bakker placed fifth with a time of 5:04.69. JuniorÂ
Mayson Hartley crossed the line with a time of 5:11.85 taking tenth place.
(M) 3000-meter run: SeniorÂ
Aziz Mohammed beat his own fourth fastest time school history with a new provisional time of 8:02.26 and finished in second. Senior
Barnabe Gabillet took sixth overall with a time of 8:18.64.

Ava Campbell secured seventh out of 38 competitors.Â

Truman Hare completed the 4x400M relay sweep with a first-place finish, crossing the line at 3:12.95, earning them a Division II provisional time and the ninth-fastest time in school history.

David Parker II earned the ninth-farthest triple jump in school history and set a new personal best with a jump of 14.37m (47-01.75), placing fifth overall.

Demarii Williams secured fifth with a new Division II provisional throw of 17.06m (55-11.75) – giving him the seventh-longest shot put in school history.Â

(M) Weight Throw: Unattached freshmenÂ
Dustin Wurtz and
Tyrus Smith placed second and fourth respectively. Wurtz set a new personal best with a heave of 18.62m (61-01.25) along with Smith who also set a new personal best, recorded 18.52m (60-09.25).Â

Had they been attached, Wurtz would have set the second-farthest throw in school history and Smith would have set the third-farthest in school history.
