The Northwest Missouri State University indoor track and field teams are gearing up to host the multi-day Bearcat Invite track meet in Hughes Fieldhouse. This event will take place Friday, Feb. 6, and Saturday, Feb. 7.
On Friday field events and running events will both begin at 5:30 p.m. with multi-events beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday field events will begin at 11 a.m. with running events beginning earlier at 10 a.m. Multi-events on Saturday will begin at 9 a.m.
Entry for spectators will be through the upper East side doors ONLY. $5 admission will be taken at the door via CARD ONLY.
The Bearcat Invite will feature 1,549 athletes from 54 different teams.

2025-26 INDOOR SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:
Northwest has enjoyed a successful 2025–26 indoor season, with the women ranked 13th nationally and third in the Central Region, while the men check in at No. 15 nationally and No. 2 in the Central Region, according to the USTFCCCA's TFRI.
Northwest has collected 29 NCAA Division II provisional marks this season across four meets—17 by the Bearcat men and 12 by the women.
During Northwest track and field's most recent meet, the Washburn Open hosted by Washburn University, Freshman
Ethan Gaschler secured the title in men's shot put with an NCAA Division II provisional throw that put him in the school record books.

Melanie Roland and
Lydia McGlocklin earned the fastest and second fastest times among NCAA Div. II competitors.
In the 60-meter hurdles, Sophomore
Frank Sparks had a second-place finish – entering himself into the record books with the second fastest time in program history. Sparks currently has the third fastest time for Div. II.
Sophomore
Campbell Barta continued her successful season, earning an NCAA Div. II provisional nod in women's long jump while placing first among Div. II schools.
Senior
Dominic Sedlacek had an impressive showing in the men's 60-meter prelims and the men's 200-meter, earning Division II provisional nods in both, and entering into the school record books for his 200-meter performance.
