Northwest Missouri State University runner Riley Witt has been named the MIAA Men's Track Athlete of the Week.

Witt (Osage, Iowa) set a school record and broke the four-minute barrier at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational held in Boston, Mass. Witt posted the nation's fifth-best time in the mile (3:59.07) as he put his name back atop the Bearcat record book.

It is the fifth time this season a Bearcat has captured an MIAA track athlete of the week honor.
