The Northwest Missouri State University indoor track and field teams opened their multi-meet weekend with strong performances at the David Hemery Valentine Invite, the Ichabod Invitational, and the 11th Annual Russ Jewett Indoor Gorilla Classic.

In the men's 1-mile run, senior
Riley Witt secured the Northwest school record, earning a Division II provisional nod along with the fourth-fastest time in the nation so far this season. Senior
Aziz Mohammed also had a strong performance in the 1-mile, placing second among Division II athletes competing in the event.
