Northwest has enjoyed a successful 2025–26 indoor season, with the women ranked seventh nationally and third in the Central Region, while the men check in at No. 19 nationally and No. 4 in the Central Region, according to the USTFCCCA's TFRI.

Northwest has collected 24 NCAA Division II provisional marks this season across four meets—12 by the Bearcat men and 12 by the women.

At the recent Rumble in the Jungle Invitational hosted by Pittsburg State University, senior Kiki Witt broke the school record (9:37.39) in the 3,000 meters and collected a Division II provisional nod. Alongside Witt, sophomore Olivia Bakker finished fifth and earned a spot in the record books with the fourth-fastest time (9:52.87) in program history.

In the men's 800-meter, senior Riley Witt and junior Charlie Kinslow had standout second and third place finishes respectively – entering themselves into the record books with the second and third fastest times in program history. Both collected Division II provisional times.

Sophomore Kennedi Cline continued her impressive season, claiming two titles in the women's 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash, allowing her to collect her second consecutive MIAA Female Track Athlete of the Week award.
