PITTSBURG, Kan. – The Northwest Missouri State University indoor track and field teams captured three event titles and posted eight NCAA Division II provisional marks Friday at the Rumble in the Jungle Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State University.

The Bearcat men tallied 41 points to claim fifth, with the Northwest women totaling 69, placing fourth.Â

In an impressive race, senior
Kiki Witt broke the school record (9:37.39) in the 3,000 meters and collected a Division II provisional nod. Alongside Witt, sophomore
Olivia Bakker finished fifth and earned a spot in the record books with the fourth-fastest time (9:52.87) in program history.

In the men's 800-meter, senior
Riley Witt and junior
Charlie Kinslow had standout second and third place finishes respectively – entering themselves into the record books with the second and third fastest times in program history.Â

Sophomore
Kennedi Cline continued her impressive season, claiming two titles in the women's 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash.Â
Running Events
(W) 60-meter Dash: Two Bearcats competed in the event, with both qualifying for finals. Sophomore
Krysta Abel took first with a time of 7.68, followed up by
Jaurdin Mallory who placed seventh with a time of 7.71.Â

In the finals, Abel improved her qualifying time, placing third, and claiming a time of 7.64. Next up was Mallory in sixth place at 7.74.Â

(M) 200-meter Dash: Freshman
Kyle Emerson claimed second place with a time of 21.66 – entering into the school record books at No. 8.
(W) 200-meter Dash: Sophomore
Kennedi Cline took first place with a Division II provisional time of 24.10 – beating her own fourth-best school record.
Krysta Abel took eighth place with a time of 25.45. Both Cline and Abel set new personal bests.
(M) 400-meter Dash:
Christian Lanphier clocked a time of 48.21, earning him fourth place – breaking him into the school's top-10 list. Lanphier set a new personal best.

(W) 400-meter Dash: Setting a Division II provisional time of 54.38,
Kennedi Cline claimed first place, breaking the meet record and improving upon her own sixth-best mark in school history. Cline also set a new personal best. Sophomore
Marie Dea followed in third, recording a Division II provisional time of 56.18—the 10th-fastest time in program history.Â
(W) 600-yard Run: Sophomore
Anjelena Carder placed fourth with a time of 1:24.96. Following a little over a second letter was
Kendall Tietjen in fifth with a time of 1:25.95, setting a new personal best.Â
(M) 800-meter Run: Senior
Riley Witt took second with a Division II provisional time of 1:50.29, giving him the second-fastest mark in Northwest history. Close behind was
Charlie Kinslow, who clocked a Division II provisional time of 1:50.91 to place third and record the third-fastest time in program history. Both Witt and Kinslow set new personal bests. Rounding out the Cats was
Josh Fraker, who finished sixth with a time of 1:52.78.

Jadyn Barnes secured first place while setting a new personal best.

(W) 3000-meter run: Senior

Jeremiah Rainey-Dunlap placed eighth with a jump of 2.00m (6-6.75). Rainey-Dunlap set a new personal best.
(M) Long Jump: With a jump of 6.84m (22-05.25),
Frank Sparks placed eighth out of 25 competitors.Â
(M) Triple Jump: Sophomore
David Parker II leaped 14.30m (46-11.00) which earned him sixth place overall. Parker II set a new personal best.

Demarii Williams placed fifth with a Division II provisional throw of 16.41m (53-10.25) – giving him the ninth-farthest shot put in school history.Â
(W) Shot Put: Freshman
Jordyn Matiyow secured seventh overall with a throw of 12.54m (41-1.75), setting a new personal best.

(M) Weight Throw: With a heave of 17.51m (57-05.00),
Josh Shelly took seventh place, set a new personal best, and recorded the fourth-longest weight throw in school history. Â
