MARYVILLE, Mo. – The Northwest Missouri State indoor track and field teams claim seven event titles and earn ten NCAA Division II provisional nods at the Coach Richard Alsup Open inside Hughes Fieldhouse.

In a record setting race, senior
Aziz Mohammed broke the school record for fastest 1 mile run and claimed second. Alongside Mohammed was unattached runner
Maxime Touron who smashed both the meet and Hughes Fieldhouse records to take first place.

Dominic Sedlacek also shined, setting a new meet record in the men's 60-meter dash.

Seniors
Kiki Witt and
Lydia McGlocklin had standout first and second place finishes with both breaking into the top ten in the school record book in the women's 1 mile run.
Running Events
(M) 60-meter:Â Five Bearcats competed in the event, two qualified for finals. In the prelims, senior
Dominic Sedlacek placed first, earning a Division II provisional time of 6.70. Freshman
Isaiah Bates placed seventh with a time of 6.90.

In the finals, Sedlacek took first overall with a time of 6.71, breaking the Coach Alsup 60-meter run meet record. Bates placed seventh with a time of 6.94.

Kyle Emerson finished fifth in the prelims with a time of 6.84 and then finished sixth in the finals with a time of 6.92.

(W) 60-meter Dash: Three Bearcats competed in the event, with all three qualifying for finals. Sophomore
Krysta Abel took first with a time of 7.64, followed up by
Jaurdin Mallory who placed third with a time of 7.72. Junior
Hallie Henfling finished with a time of 7.78, earning her sixth place.

In the finals, Abel improved her qualifying time, placing first, and claiming a Division II provisional time of 7.55 – tying her for fourth-fastest time in school history. Abel also set a new personal best. Next up was Mallory in third place at 7.74. Finishing it out for the Cats' was Henfling in sixth place at 7.78.Â

Josie McGraw finished in the prelims with a time of 8.95 and finished with a time 8.89 in the finals, earning second in both races.Â
(W) 200-meter Dash: Sophomore
Kennedi Cline secured second with a Division II provisional time of 25.36 – beating her own fourth-best school record.
Krysta Abel took fifth place with a Division II provisional time of 25.45. Both Cline and Abel set new personal bests.
(M) 400-meter Dash: Junior
Danny Jantzen placed second overall with a time of 49.02.

Courtney Kiley finished with a time of 1:00.08 taking fourth.
(M) 600-yard Run:
Logan Arellano claimed first for the Cats', clocking in at 1:11.
Aiden O'Leary finished in seventh with a time of 1:15.Â
(M) 800-meter Run: Senior
Bret Beard took first with a Division II provisional time of 1:51.95 – giving him the eighth-fastest time in Northwest history. Following close behind was
Riley Witt with a time of 1:52.14, giving him second place. Both Beard and Witt set new personal bests. Rounding out the top three was
Christian Lanphier with a time of 1:52.30.
Charlie Kinslow finished in fifth place with a time of 1:54.20.

Tyler Blay earned second place, claiming a time of 8:19.34.
