ASHLAND, Neb. – The Northwest Missouri State cross country teams got their seasons started at the Platte River Rumble "Gold" meet at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park.
The Bearcat men tallied 52 points to claim second, with the Northwest women totaling 229, placing eighth.

In the men's 6K Northwest secured second place with five runners finishing in the top 25. Senior
Drew Atkins set a new personal record at 17:59.80, leading the team with a third-place finish.
