The Northwest Missouri State University women's soccer team will begin the 2025 season out on the Bearcat Pitch with back-to-back homes games facing off against Northern State University on Friday, Sept. 5, followed by a clash with Bemidji State University on Sunday, Sept. 7.
Northwest will charge $6Â admission to home soccer games in the 2025 season.

Northwest and Northern State will face off for the first time since 2014, with Northwest coming out on top, 2-0 Sept. 5, 2014. Northern State leads the all-time series against Northwest, 4-1. The Wolves ended last season with an overall record of 7-7-4, ending their season with a loss against the University of Mary, 0-3. Game time is set for 5Â p.m.

The Bearcats will then hit the field again to take on Bemidji State University on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. The Beavers lead the all-series against Northwest, 2-0. The Beavers ended last season with an overall record of 9-7-3, losing a match to Concordia University, St. Paul in the quarterfinal round of the NSIC Tournament, 0-1.

Marc Gordon enters his eighth season leading the Bearcat soccer program. Last season, Northwest posted a record of 7-6-6 overall, ending its season in the MIAA quarterfinal round to University of Central Missouri. Northwest has produced four straight winning seasons under Gordon and has gone 41-23-16 in MIAA play over the previous four campaigns.

Lily Ellis stands to make an impact on the season having several notable school records including the best season goals against average at 0.47 in her 2022 season, fewest goals allowed at 9 in her 2022 season, and most shutouts in her 2022 season. She also has the highest number of career shutouts at 27.

Northwest is picked to finish sixth in the preseason MIAA coaches' poll, receiving 89 points total.Â
